Boundary Between Earth and Heaven

Haha, September seems to always get me in to the start of Halloween mode. Maybe because there's so many Halloween things already in stores around me. XD

Anyways, this is a long overdue contest entry for 's flagship comic "Death and Greg The Ghost".

DaGtG Contest~! :)Thought it was about time to post another journal about this, lol.
Still haven't made a deadline!! D: So take advantage of that and take your time but if you have a good suggestion of when I should make it please do!

For those who don't know/forgot:
Pick any song you want that you think describes DaGtG, and illustrate a picture to it. It can be a song that only describes one scene, one aspect, one character or the entire series itself! Just as long as the picture makes sense with the song, and it's DaGtG related.
As for prizes, all I have at the moment is art for the top 3 places.
One digital pic for 1st place, a traditional pic for 2nd

. It's quite an interesting comic. I chose to mainly draw Greg since I couldn't draw Death to save my life! XD Anyways, the challenge was we had to synch it to music. I chose "Boundary Between the Wind and Earth" from the Baten Kaitos Origins OST here: [link]

This scen techinicallt didn't happen in the comic, but it did METAPHORICALLY! XD I'm quite happy with how it turned out. You can tell I never draw architechture, lol, especially when I spend more time on the moon than buildings. XD If I had the chance, I'd probably redraw Pertu (guy on the moon) since I kind of rushed to get him done and didn't pay as much detail to facial structure.

This version is okay, but this pic is really meant to be seen as a close up. It looks WAY better here: [link] Also notice how I distorted the background behind the ghost? Optical illusion effect FTW!

This also serves as some good reference in my style of shading a ghost when most of the form is in shadown.
